Founded in the fall of 1985, the ensemble has performed at schools, libraries, museums, churches, hospitals, festivals and family reunions throughout the northeast.  Its members are highly trained professionals who have traveled in Africa, the Caribbean Islands, Europe and the United States.  Some of the publicly acclaimed artists that they have performed with include: Babatunde Olatunji, The Family Theater Ensemble (the late Marvin Felix Camillo - Director), Sun Ra, Cecil Taylor, Chuck Davis, the Dinizulu Dance Company and Arrested Development.
